I’m Matt, a UK-born tattoo artist of Polish heritage based in Nottingham, specialising in gothic blackwork and flash.

My work takes inspiration from Art Nouveau, traditional tattooing, old illustration and the darker side of art and culture. Aubrey Beardsley and Alphonse Mucha have been two particularly big influences on the way I draw – along with an emo phase I’ve never quite grown out of and a lifelong love of My Chemical Romance.

I’m also a big fan of Lord of the Rings and Dragon Ball Z, and when I’m not tattooing or drawing you’ll usually find me travelling or getting out into nature. All of those interests find their way into my work in one form or another – sometimes obviously, sometimes less so.

I work from a private studio in Nottingham city centre, where appointments are always one-to-one. It’s a quiet, relaxed space away from the bustle of a larger tattoo studio, so you can settle in, put some music on and get tattooed without an audience.

I work exclusively with my own pre-drawn flash rather than taking custom commissions. New collections are released throughout the year, with subscribers getting first access to new designs before they’re released publicly.
